Sunset Park, Brooklyn
Momo’s Test Kitchen - Japanese food! Conveniently right by the ferry.
Judy’s - My favorite place to get a beer in Sunset Park. They have a nice craft beer selection. I don’t know anything about wine, but looks like they have natural wines.
L’Wren - Just a few doors down from Judy’s, L’Wren has cocktails and small plates. it’s loungy inside and plenty of seating outside.
Sunset Gourmet - A new neighborhood deli! Good chopped cheese and sandwiches.
Sunset Bagels - Neighborhood bagel spot. Bagel sandwiches are great. Sandwiches were mediocre, though.
Sunset Pizza - Best pizza in Sunset Park. I love their Grandma Pie!
Yafa Cafe - Yemeni spot with great food and they roast their own coffee.
Pier 53 Coffee & Sandwich Shop - This place has Korean plates and you can also get them in sandwich form.
Five Boroughs Brewing Co. - The only brewery in Sunset Park.
Japan Village at Industry City - One of the reasons I picked Sunset Park was proximity to Japanese goods. There is a Sunrise Mart, which is a local Japanese grocery store chain in NY, and many small Japanese eateries inside.
Kai Feng Fu Dumpling House - Small hole-in-the-wall dumpling place. Take them to-go and eat your dumplings at the park!
Ba Xuyên - Banh mi spot, cash only.
Tiger Sugar BK - This bubble tea chain is probably my favorite in BK Chinatown. I still have to try a few more.
Tacos El Bronco - Mexican spot.
La Snackeria - Hip little spot for birria tacos and Mexican snacks.
Sunset Park - Nice view of the Manhattan skyline.
Green-Wood Cemetery - This cemetery used to be a Revolutionary War battlefield. Notable burials include Jean-Michel Basquiat and Charles Ebbets.
Sunset Park/ Brooklyn Army Terminal - My favorite way to get around is by ferry. Easiest way to get to Red Hook and lower Manhattan. 11 minutes to Wall Street!
