My name is Aya Tiffany Sato and what you find here are my personal favorites compiled from over 20 years of living in Seattle (mostly in Beacon Hill), traveling to Japan frequently to visit family, and my new home in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been in. The city is surrounded by 2 mountain ranges and 2 large bodies of water. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Rainer, both mountain ranges, and the sparkling bodies of water. Even after living in Western Washington for close to 15 years, it blows me away. The mountains are a very short drive away, the only rainforest in North America is a 2-hour drive west, there are 170 islands on the Puget Sound, Washington State has the largest ferry system in the country, and third largest in the world!! Vancouver, BC is a 3-hour drive north, and Portland, OR is a 3-hour drive south. Flying to San Francisco and Los Angeles takes only 2 hours and 2.5 hours respectively, with a flight to Denver also being only 2.5 hours.

In 2021, I moved to Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I have started to compile some of my favorites. It’s home to the largest Chinatown in Brooklyn, along with Little Mexico.
